Getting Pounded on the Broken Shores

Getting Pounded on the Broken Shores

Note: I was going to post this on Tuesday, but I wanted to put the word out that there are problems getting into the game. I was doing fine earlier in the day, but now I can no longer login. After attempting to login, I am disconnected. Blizz even noted that it might be down until tomorrow's maintenance.

So here is the weekend report.

Sunday was a bad day to hit the Shores. Keya had help in the early going, picking up two World Quests (915 AP each). She also made her first contributions to erecting a building.

She then attempted another World Quest that would have gotten her another 915 AP. She was all alone, though (which tells you the island is not exactly swarming with players). She spent forty-five frustrating minutes getting mauled by mobs excited to converge on the one stupid player willing to die a few dozen times. She finally backed out, unable to withstand the hordes of bad guys.

On the positive side, she reached a new high in AP, which totaled 3,000 AP. I think I was compensated for those bloody but failed world quest battles. If that's so, failing a World Quest got Keya more AP than she gets from beating it. Keya is quite sure she earned it, though. Five thousand AP overall, and she just barely gained another warblade rank, along with a gear upgrade to i830.

Rakta Gets Smarter

After fussing and fuming about not getting any action, she finally barged into the alchemy lab demanding the three recipes she had to have to get into Legion Alchemy. The alchemy trainer rolled her eyes, mumbled something like "amatuer" and pointed to Patricia Egan standing at the counter.

"Oh. thanks Patty." Patricia glowered. Rakta looked so lost, however, Patricia softened and helped her get her first three recipes completed and officially became a Legion alchemsist.

Immediately, she was sent for some lost shipments. Rakta, now secure in her quest thread, is feeling much better . . . and then the trail went dry once again. No quests. Sigh.
