A Three Pronged Attack

A Three Pronged Attack

Prong #1 is still Wildshard's plan to earn the Underlight Angler. He fished up several hundred fish in the Val' shara zone and had three chances at one of the rare fish - the Ancient Mossgill. This fish will not appear until he fishes up a rare fishbone. Then, the fishbone must be thrown back into the water. Then fish for two minutes. If you don't catch a fish? Then start over and try again from the beginning. Each type of fish has it's own peculiarities.

Prong #2 is to continue improving his gear and skills. Wild took his latest step by taking the portal to Antorus of Argus. Wild was quite pleased that he has been acquitting himself well. Less pleased is that, so far, Antorus has not resulted in better gear. Wild even participated in an invasion point, killed uncountable demons and creatures, and survived to finish and close the invasion. But still got little to show for it. Somewhere in the small print I think it says Wild has to complete a minimum of three invasions to get any booty. Wild now has two invasions under his belt and is itching to get that third. Wild's gear level inched up to i878.

Prong #3 is to find a way to get Chaitee's business back into focus. The flood of goods at prices Chaitee cannot survive on has continued unabated. Her optimism that the guild would soon see that million gold target is simply not possible at this juncture.
Most depressing is that the mailbox has always held the full fifty items sold plus a large overflow that always kept the coffers ready. Chaitee has to report that not only has the sold items shrunk below the overflow line, Chaitee has glumly watched as the products in the mailbox fall to a record 19 items left.

It's not a matter of refilling the goods. Market prices are losing prices for Chaitee. The market keeps throwing embersilk out there, at 600g yesterday and over 800g at the start of the morning.  But the better silkweave bags sell for a mere 550g. Under 550g and Chaitee can't pay the cost to farm the mats to make them. Chaitee hasn't given up. She managed to push silkweave bags up to 697g, and slammed the embersilk bags, pushing the price up to 898g. Chaitee hopes this will send silkweave prices up to get the additional profit from the embersilk. It's a guessing game. The real game comes with the weekend. That's when Chaitee will know if she guessed correctly.

Today, Chaitee is focused on frostweave bags. She expects to craft at least two dozen or more if possible. Come the weekend those prices should rise. Wild, Sista, and Atkar all must make runs for the mats.
