Rakta Gets An Opportunity

Over very loud objections, Keya has ungraciously been pushed into a secondary role so that a rookie guildie can get some time. Enter young Rakta, a level 101 Protection Warrior. Her overall gear score is a light i711 with i752 sword and board called Scaleshard and Scale of the Earth Warder.

Rakta has been given two tasks. First and foremost, she must level to 110. Then she has to accept a major transition of her professions. Through no fault of her own, her professions are in sad shape and don't meet the guild's needs.

(1)    In Alchemy, the "Potion of Treasure Finding" is a must have. There are other side advantages, but additional leveling is not critical, at least not yet. Long term, potions and flasks are very nice to have and will likely be retained and - eventually - be leveled.

(2) The guild intends that Rakta will a Jewelcrafter - eventually. Her immediate need is a profession that will help speed her way to level 110. The guild determined she would take Mining as her second profession. The rocks she breaks along the way provide leveling experience and will be useful once she reached level 110. At that point she will unlearn Mining and become a jewelcrafter. Tiphaine has stated this is so.

Rakta Day 1 - This is Day 1 of Rakta's leveling. She's been given a jump start in that she had already reached level 101 when Tiphaine laid out the plans for her. Wasting no time, Rakta got off to a solid start, checking into her Skyhold base of operations and starting a new mission. She began her real work of leveling in Val'Sharah and finished her evening going from level 101 to level 102.

Rakta Day 2 - When Rakta learned of Keya's early troubles and difficulties when first dealing with artifacts and weapons, she vowed not to make Keya's mistakes. She religiously arranges missions and keeps her followers involved. When asked if she wished to attain a second artifact weapon, she said yes, and took pains to ensure that the transition went smoothly. Rakta is capable in both Protection and Fury specs. Rakta got in a full morning of leveling, and by late afternoon she had Dinged to level 103. Her gear score is now i722 and her weapon i767. Her Fury weapon is i750. She also laid out her artifact plan for each rank. She has completed eight ranks so far.

Keya pushed her way in with important news. Important to her, at least. She has been trying to overcome a blocked mission, "Menace on the Broken Shores," which was not working correctly. Keya took a gamble by attempting the mission with only a fifty percent chance of success. And she suceeded! The fouled mission has now been successfully completed, and Korvas Bloodthorn can close the mission and the quest. Now, when Keya opens the map, there is no irritating quest shown. Finally, it's done.
