The Last Word from Chaitee - I'm Free!

As much as she liked Beast Mastery, it was the Survival spec that Chaitee was the most interested in. She talked to the experts at the Trueshot Lodge. Convinced that she was doing the right thing, she threw caution to the wind, changed her spec, and switched out her spells. Chaitee was ready. The process was relatively easy and she soon found herself on a flight to Spirit Watch Point in Highmountain.

Something was amiss when she arrived. She was there to kill Degar Bloodtotem, but he did not seem to be home. In fact, the entire area was hostile, but there were no signs of a quest. Chaitee was puzzled. An enemy came within range so Chaitee killed it. No, actually, it didn't die. Huh? Most of her spells were frozen, ie, greyed out, not working. Chaitee literally had to beat it to death.

It took a moment for Chaitee to figure out this conundrum. Is it her weapon? Sort of. Chaitee realized she had no weapon. She was on the quest to get the Survival spec weapon, but she didn't have it yet. And what do you know, she didn't bring one. Oops. Now here is one for the books. Chaitee, former guru of the Auction House, had to fly back to Dalaran, port to Stormwind, and BUY a two-hander. From Java. Java was laughing so hard she dropped her shield on her foot.

Feeling very foolish, Chaitee grabbed a two-hander off the AH rack, paid for it, and beat feet back to Spirit Watch Point. From there things proceeded as expected. Chaitee's poor weapon was cheap, but good enough to kill Degar Bloodtotem, win her way through the artifact scenario, and battle the monster cat. Chaitee now has a true blade, the polearm Talonclaw.

Chaitee already loves Survival. Best of all, she gets to keep Taz for her combat pet. Tenacity/tank, of course. Chaitee is 64% of the way to level 103. And counting.

Java made fun of Chaitee's misadventures, but Java has her own disaster - her coffers are still bleeding, losing 3,000 gold from her start up amount of 517k gold.
