Battlegrounds! Pathfinder One Ongoing

One of the requirements of "A Glorius Campaign" is to win a battleground. On a pure whim and with no idea what to expect, Keya selected a random battleground. All she knew was that she was in Legion Season Five and in Casual mode. Keya has a whopping 95 honor (ie, 95 of 350). At first the system wouldn't let Keya in, and then realized she hadn't selected a role. That was the first time Keya knew that battlegrounds had the same roles (tank, healing, DPS) as raids and dungeons. You live and learn.

Here's where things got a bit strange. Keya selected DPS. Yes, she's actually Vengeance spec but that hasn't been an issue with either dungeons or raids. So, Keya joined the forming group (the ghostly forms of Wildshard and friends reminding her how the game is played). The timer ticked down and the doors opened. Keya piled out with the rest of the group and the battle began. Keya picked a horde enemy launched her attack.

Then things got really weird. Without any warning or anything, Keya's vengeance spec was replaced with Havoc. Imagine Keya's surprise! Keya is not very profficient in havoc spec. Give her some credit, though, she kept up with her group and fought hard. She didn't count how many times she died. We lost the battleground, though.

    The chart shows how the battle went. Keya had no killing blows, died five times and got 11 honorable kills.

I don't know what happened with the switching of specs. Next time I do a battleground Keya will select the tank role. In that role she may not be very good, but she can seriously irritate horde attackers just by how long it takes to kill her.

As far as the actual quest to complete part of Pathfinder, "To Battle!" remains greyed out and the battleground fight didn't seem to have any effect. Oh well. Keya will continue to lumber about until something good happens.

Keya had so much fun in her first battleground she decided to try it again. This time she chose the tank role. We lost again but wow Keya kicked butt!

To start with Keya got her first killing blow. Ever.
She died only four times.
She had only three honorable kills but her role wasn't to kill things, it was to keep the other guys from killing us.
Keya's 26,527K damage done was #1 on her team! And . . .
Counting both alliance and horde, Keya's damage done overall placed her in 7th place out of the twenty players; ie, only six other players on either side did better damage.

PS - Remember Keya's 95 honor? It's now at 285 of 350.
