Cinidaria, the Symbiote

Cinidaria, the Symbiote

Keya was spending down her legionfall war supplies when the Gods of WoW smiled down on her. Sort of. Such benefits usually come with nasty conditions so she was wary. Keya contributed to the war effort by helping build a Mage Tower (yes, the one we tore down three days ago). The loot from that got Keya a rare . . . no, not just rare . . . A Legendary i940 belt called "Cinidaria, the Symbiote." Keya was ecstatic. Then she started thinking, "when does the other shoe, or in this case, belt, drop?"

Of course there were conditions, followed by worse news. Keya is only allowed to equip one Legendary, and she already has one - yes, the one she spent a hundred thousand gold for. SERIOUSLY? Chaitee spends 100k GOLD to get Keya a legendary, and now a free one just drops into her lap! That she can't use! GAHHHHhhhhh! This is SO unfair. And Keya's current legendary is better than the new one, so she doesn't even get to upgrade. After some consideration, Keya decided to make a table lamp out of the Cinidaria.

Keya forced herself to let her anger subside and get back to work. She completed two more  ranks. Surprisingly, she's been able to complete at least one rank per day for the past five days. That pace may not last as the latest rank left her with only 17k AP and needing over 150k. Still, she opimistically believes she'll get another rank under her belt to keep up her progress. She has six left to earn.

Back on the Fel Hammer, Keya happened to overhear Loramus Thalipedes talking about legendarys. What she learned gave her hope. Loramus suggested she do some additional research on her own. She learned that there was a way around the restriction. A technique called Demonic Fate can be used to increase the number of legendary slots to two. Whew, good thing she didn't go ahead with that lamp idea.

There is a cost: 8,000 order resources. That's pretty reasonable, though at the moment she has only about 4,000. Still, the timing was pretty nice. This morning Keya got her 25th research done and no new ones are available yet. With that done for the time being, Keya can focus on getting the order resources she needs to get that second legendary slot. AP will take a back seat to order resources for awhile. It shouldn't take too long.

PS - Keya considered setting the legendary aside and pushing to complete her final ranks. But the legendary should take less time, so she is staying with that plan. In addition, Keya continues to experiment with the Havoc spec and is more and more impressed with the power of those spells. If she ever figures out how to use them properly she may stay in that spec permanently. They are that good.
