Bloody Progression of Success

Bloody Progression of Success

Monday opened up opportunities for Keya. Her first world quest was the bat battles near the Sargeras raid on the Broken Isles, netting her 34k AP (the same as the last time, which was a little disappointing). Three more world quests went down in Aszuna, putting her within one more world quest to reach the next rank. She also earned a new, much more powerful Iron Relic.

The gear upgrades were significant.
Keya replaced her aged i783 relic and replaced it with the new i855 Iron Relic.
Her overall gear score rose from i858 to i861.
Her Warblades rose from i811 to an astonishing i831.
Her Havoc Twinblades still have the advantage at i844.

Keya is working with her Havoc spec, trying to get comfortable. It's very bursty, and seems designed more for multiple targets than single target. Too often Keya finds herself short on Fury, and that causes periods where Keya has no available spells to cast. I may look for an addon that can highlight when Fury is available. One nice thing about Havoc is that Keya seems to be just as hard to kill in Havoc spec as she is in Vengeance. That will still take more practice and risk as she takes on tougher foes. She is also starting to separate her gear into two sets. Vengeance gets the most out of Haste gear, while Havoc favors Crit.

Keya needs six more ranks to complete her Vengeance warblades, plus the SoulGorger which opens the third relic artifact. She is also doing well with her Havoc twinblades, working quickly through the early ranks and completing 18 ranks. She has 16 ranks still to earn.

Yes, progress is slow and Keya is still learning, but she finds ways to make progress with her professions. She is still earning skills and patterns as a result of the rest of her progression. That's particularly true of leather working. She's much further along than Sista is on her tailoring skills. It's not Sista's fault. First, Sista spends most of her time gathering mats and making bags, and has little time for progression. Worse, Sista was the guinea pig for a lot of trial and error in the early going of Legion and made a lot of mistakes. The result is broken quest threads and critical elements not working like they should because of those problems. There's been a few attempts to correct things, but those ended in failure. It will take a concerted effort to straighten her out. If she ever gets the time.
