Thirteen Hours - Factions Change

Thirteen hours - That's how little time is left before I again run out of game time on the second account. Every day I check to see if all of the conditions have been met to conduct the faction transfer. More than two weeks have passed since the transfer was first was attempted.

Today, as of this morning, all of the conditions were met. The Faction Transfer is a GO.
Tiphaine demanded that each step be confirmed before making the attempt:

(1) Tiphaine personally checked that she has no mail waiting in queue.
(2) One guild member, Teagreen, is present and accounted for.
(3) Java will turn over the original Tea Green guild to Alwayslost.
(4) Tiphaine remains GL of knights templarr, but the name will be changed.
(5) The transfer of gold and materials from Happy's coffers to Tiphaine is complete.
(6) Execute the transfer. If succesful, Tiphaine's guild will be become an Alliance guild. Tiphaine will still be a death knight and should have the opportunity to pick her race. Everything else should remain the same.
(7) Moving forward, Tiphaine will invite Javajoo, Sistaphilia, and Chaitee into the guild. Whispersoul will remain behind on the second account. Wish her well.

RESULTS - It started well. I clicked the boxes for the faction transfer and guild name change. Both were accepted. The next step failed. I reached a spot where it appeared that Tiphaine had to step down as GL as part of the process. Tiphaine balked and backed out. Time to find a GM.

Game Master #11 - First, there was a lengthy chat with my latest GM. I pointed out several points that were not well explained and recommended they be clarified to help this process work more smoothly. The first thing that you DON'T see in the process is that the transfer produces a "ghost guild." And that is the key to understanding how the transfer works.

How it works: At the pivotal point in the process, Tiphaine is asked to "assign a new guild leader." That is what got Tiphaine hot under the collar. However, the new guild leader being referred to is the original horde guild, which lacks a GL once Tiphaine is gone.

Hello, Teagreen? You are what was left behind when the guild transferred (ie, the "ghost guild"). It's a fully functional guild. Congratulations on becoming the horde guild leader of knights templarr! I think.

By the way, the guild name "Tea Green 2" was NOT available. I chose "Autumn Tea Green" as the new guild name.

The process is still pending. Still, I checked progress, and got "You (Tiphaine) cannot login until the character update process you recently initiated is complete."

Maybe today, maybe tomorrow. But it's done, and it can't be undone.
