A Look Forward and Back

A Look Forward and Back

The Worlds of Azeroth and Draenor got a peek at what's in store for the future with the unveiling of the next expansion on 6 Aug 2015, 9am PST. The peek was streamed live from Gamescon in Germany. The entire Wild family made a point to check it out, though to be truthful expectations were pretty low.

A full recount of the expansion news will come in a separate post.

After the unveiling, Wild felt both innervated and sad. The new expansion sounds pretty interesting, but despite that he was was feeling a little down, remembering the past. Wild hasn't been on Silvermoon's forum for, literally, years. Unlike the early years, where there was always lively talk, the forum today was mostly deserted, and consisted almost entirely of requests for raiders or requests to join raid groups. Even knowing that would be the case, it was still disappointing.

Wild got a bit of a jolt, though, from one entry. Wild's old guild, Fate Sealed, is still an active raiding guild. They were looking for raiders, and they needed healers. Specifically, they wanted a Holy Paladin, but also were interested in druid healers as well. In another time, Wild/Jocy would have leapt at the chance to return to Fate Sealed.

A closer look at the forum entry and Wild realized the post was a month old. Not that Wild would have seriously considered returning. Wild did not leave Fate Sealed on good terms. He was forced out of the guild when the guild's raid leader, Xemon, decided Wild wasn't good enough and refused to invite him into raids unless he had no other choice (which was often, because Wild was always prompt and ready to go on raid nights, factors that only made Xemon madder). Wild persisted, but got no help from the guild master, and Wild finally followed his cabal to the guild Meitha, where he is still a member.

So much for walking down memory lane. Wild prefers looking forward.
