The Rise of Java and then there is Rakta

The Rise of Java and then there is Rakta

Java is starting to get her bearings again. She crafted a half dozen bags of various types, courtesy of the mats that Sista still had lying around. Sista also agreed to make full runs for the weekly mat gathering in preparation for the weekend selling.

Java started with 654K gold and then went on a needed spending spree to restock. That left her with 555k gold. After her first full weekend of sales, she managed to regain 568k, a loss of 85k. Jave remains confident that she will recoup the losses.

Java is still short of Level 110 (currently 107) and will need some time to work on that. Her gear level is i745.

Tiphaine made another attempt to engage Rakta. The whole Jewelcrafting thing has fallen apart. Tiphaine wanted her to show some progress. What she got was a box full of lock picks and little else. Her lab is a disaster. Jewels and gems scattered on the floor, half-made necklaces, and her crafting skill still stuck at Level 700. A complete waste.

Alchemy can be salvaged. At least she'd leveled it to 747 toward 800. Potions and flasks are always in need. But instead of listening to Tiphaine's suggestions, Rakta fled to her Garrison. The Garrison was in no better shape. Completed jewelcrafting mats lay in spilled piles. A blacksmith waited, with little to do. An alchemist waits for materials. New recipes lay unused and unlearned.
Tiphaine has her spies. There is no storehouse. The Gem Boutique will have to go. She is uncertain about the Forge, but it is fully functional at Level 3. Luckily the Alchemy lab is complete at level 3 as well.

Back at Dalaran, Tiphaine meets secretly with Wildshard. She advises Wildshard that there is going to be a change within the Alliance guild. There will be some disruption, but it should not affect anything on the Horde side of the guild. At least that is the expectation. Neither leader wants another war, which is why both sides are given a chance to comment.

Bluntly, Tiphaine admits she has lost confidence in Rakta.
"Will there be an "accident?" Wildshard shrugs at Tiphaine's wince. "I hope it doesn't come to that."
"Are you asking the Horde to . . .?" Wild waited.
"NO no. We will deal with that if it comes to it, but she already seems on the edge of self-destruction."
"Then what?" Wildshard was very interested to know.
"We take the husk of her mind and body and remake it to what we want." Tiphaine and Wildshard stared silently at each other. There will be repercussions with such a drastic step. Both guilds would feel the effects.

"It will be over before anyone learns what has been done." Wild wonders if Tiphaine is right about that. Maybe. Rumors are known to outrun those trying to hide the truth. The best defense is a better offense. Platitudes. The reality is that neither Tiphaine nor Wildshard know what the long term effect will be. A better soldier, hopefully. A monster, if they screw it up.
