What's Up with Fist?

What's Up with Fist?

Fist has been under the radar for awhile. Her garrison is pretty well settled, so settled she's left goods just laying around. Prodded into checking the status of her garrison, she started with her level 2 War Mill. Goods were piled up outside the mill, who knows how long they'd been there.

Fist opened the stack of goods and dumped a small fortune on the snowy ground. The pile included: a blackrock armor set, a power overun weapon enhancement, 2 war ravaged armor sets, a balanced weapon enhancement, and 3 braced armor enhancements.

The Tannery is in working order but it, too, has goods stacked up waiting for delivery. The Scribes Quarters hasn't produced anything since it was first built. Fist needs to clean up her act.

Fist grumbled something nasty under her breath. Being the only level 100 leatherworker in the family should give her some status, but she's been pushed to the back of the bus by Jocy and Tiphaine. Even when she gets attention, she knows she's being used. Wild wants Fist to get her act together not because he wants her active - he wants her to prepare the future new member of the family, the Demon Hunter - who just happens to wear leather gear. Fist is back in the rotation, running missions, acquiring follower gear, working in the mines and in the herb fields, and building up her crafting skills and products.

Tiphaine has little to say in the matter. Fist was pretty bored, anyway, so returning to her routine tasks is no big deal. There was a private meeting, however, between mother and daughter afterword. Just a guess, but perhaps Tiphaine isn't quite as ambivilant as it seems about the way Fist is being treated. Asked her opinion of demon hunters, she smiled broadly, showing her new fangs. "I'm an original Hero class death knight, born without a childhood, made to kill from the moment of my creation." Tiphaine draped an arm over Fist's shoulders in a rare display of affection for her daughter - or at least that's what it looked like.

"Demon Hunters?" Tiphaine mused aloud. "I'd say this new Hero class is no more than a pale copy of the original. A "hunter" that can't use ranged weapons? A demon that leaps backward away from the enemy instead of facing it?" She shook her head. "These demon hunters are toys, and when the time comes Fist will prove just how easy she can take them apart."
