Tangling with Mock

Tangling with Mock

Tiphaine is level 98 and already looking forward to getting into the Tanaan Jungle, despite still being two levels short of that goal. She worked hard to get her bodyguard, Mock, to level 100, which she achieved (say goodbye to Vivianne). Mock has just basic gear right now since no missions have come up that offer weapons or gear. That isn't an issue. Mock has handled himself well since pairing up. The problem is that Mock is just so darn LARGE. He also interferes in quests, particularly the ones that require NOT killing the target. Mock is like a big happy dog. Say fetch and he's unstoppable, but whatever he brings back is certainly dead. Tiphaine wishes that there was a "Stay" command so Mock wouldn't interfere in those cases, or just get out of the way for a minute! There is a spell that miniaturizes Mock. It only lasts an hour and it takes 250 resources. Tiphaine hasn't built up those resources yet, so she has to decide whether the big fellow is worth the aggravation.

After cleaning up the Spires of Arak Tipahaine was invited to Nagrand. On landing outside the fort of Wor'var, she DINGED! level 99. Only one more level grind to go.

Tiphaine travels a lot lighter than she used to. Unlike Jocy, who has stacks of clothes and armor and spends hours mixing and matching them, Tiphaine maintains a very streamlined backpack. Gear no longer required for use are quickly discarded, lining her pockets with gold instead of filling bags with fancy gear. She's decided to keep Mock and his two-handed over the shoulder power swings (his sword cuts look like chopping wood) because the damage he does outweighs his tendency to stand at exactly the wrong place every time.

[] Pitting Tiphaine and Mock against the denizens of Nagrand, Tiphaine's DPS has risen to over 13k and her gear level has improved to i603.She's 69% of the way of level 100.

[] Tiphaine picked up another Outpost Construction Guide, but she's not sure what building to spend it on. The choices are pretty boring, or require more work than simple farming. I'm thinking about trying a War Mill. It might help get Mock geared up quicker and quest rewards will sometime offer a higher item level. It will take some time to get that going, though. She needs 2,000 resources to get her Town Hall to the level 3, and she can't get access to a large plot (which the War Mill needs) until she has a level 3 Hall. Sigh. So now she'll be grinding garrison resources.

[] It's been a dismal weekend for Happy. He'll be taking a loss and has too much inventory. Are players already bored? This latest patch may have peaked too soon. It could be a long wait for Legion.

[] I wonder if Blizz has anything else in work to keep us busy until then?

[] News Flash - And then it was done. At 955pm Sunday Night Tiphaine reached Level 100.
