Monday (2 Nov) - Pvp and Jousting
JB and DER began their evening on the jousting field. DER was getting his first look at the Argent Tournament, having DINGED! to level 77. After DER did his first set of dailies, JB and DER practiced tilting lances at each other. It was a blast, even though DER won 99 out of 100 matches. Ok, so it wasn't a hundred matches, but the number of JB wins was still one. Which JB is glad to have gotten. :P
Next up the pair headed to Wintergrasp for some vehicular alliance slaughter. The alliance were defending. JB flew to the flight path location in WG, where she likes to begin the assault. DER had other ideas, looking to get a quick win against a lone alliance defender at one of the vehicle workshops outside the fortress. JB flew over and joined DER, but more alliance started to show up and we were quickly outnumbered. Hmm, might be better to join the main assault on the fortress. It was a close battle and the Alliance came very close to holding on to the fortress, but the Horde ultimately prevailed. JB has been pretty lucky in WG matches, having been on the winning side in 5 of her 7 matches so far. JB now has 71 stone keeper shards, and needs 200 to get the Heirloom shoulder piece she wants.
The level 19 twink brigade of Ando, EZ, and Lao got a rare evening together as well. Against a determined but under-geared alliance, the horde side easily won our first WSG match. The toons are starting to get close to the experience limit that would DING us to level 20, though, which we did not want to do. Capping flags is the main danger of levelling, so for our next two wsg battles Ando and EZ (Lao had to leave) pretty much hung around outside the alliance home area and killed alliance. It was both funny and a little sad - the alliance would keep trying to gang up on the two of us, but they simply couldn't kill the druid healing Ando, and EZ was tearing up anyone foolish enough to come into her sights. In the third match the alliance figured out how to at least slow EZ down by a two warlock plus priest tag team that would Fear-Sheep-Fear-Sheep JB in succession. EZ broke out of it part of the time using her Wind Shear spell to interrupt their casting, and ultimately they would be at our mercy. We farmed honor and Killing Blows (EZ got 17 KBs, a huge number for her). The rest of the horde team, even with Ando and EZ pretty much tying up more than half the alliance team, were not able to mount much of an attack and after a very long time the alliance won it. Pretty soon, though, we'll have to move up into the "twinks only" bracket where we will see a much higher level of competition.
