Testing For Pics

The Gods of WoW have nothing to do with adding pics to enhance the posts that get published. That job goes to the writer who writes the blog and provides the pics.

Part of the problem is that there are literally thousands of pics to choose from and many are scattered over many places. There needs to be one place where captured pics can be stored as well as a method to copy or move the pic to this blog. That's the challenge. To date there have been some successes, though they could not be replicated.Testing is required.

Test # 0 - Pictures Library. This library is in two locations: My Pictures and Public Pictures. The default is My Pictures. No changes are being made to either location for the moment.

Test #1 - Local Disk E: Warcraftpics - this is a folder on the E: drive that has some warcraft pics on it. Can those pics be copied/moved to the Blog?

First, I have to click on the Insert Image tab. What I get is the entire list of every pic in that warcraftpics folder. Wa-la! No, not really. There are thousands of pics in there in no usable method to search for the right pics. Several attempts to define a way to tell has failed before.

What is needed is a folder that has only the pics needed. So one question is how to tell "insert image"  to pick the right folder to choose pics.

It appears that there is only two ways, neither of which will work.

Okay, maybe I'm on to something. I went into through the Progam file to Screenshots. I then did a cut and paste of the screenshot. And it worked!

Succsefulpaste to the blog
Local Disk /programfiles /world of warcraft /retail /screenshots

Now I will try it with a post including a pasted pic.

NOPE - it didn't work.  The screenshot did post, but the pic was too large and was clipped and it wouldn't adjust itself - which it would if it were working right. So SIGH, still trying to figure this thing out.

Some of This and That's

Some of This and That's

Chaitee reached 401,000 gold, a target she'd been working on for many months. April Fools Day is ending and the major buyers and sellers went back to cutting down on the high costs of goods. It was great while it lasted.

Note that the Guild Bank has it's own stack of gold separate from Chaitee's cash. Chaitee is now aiming for half a million gold for herself.

Wildshard also has a new job. Wild is settling down in Dalaran - permanently. With a high need for mats to make the 24 slot bags, Wild offered to make regular runs to Aszuna to farm them. At most he might get enough cloth for one or two bags, but there isn't any other way. Wild gets a kick out of it, though, especially when there are other farmers about. Wild is fast in cat form and both kill and collect quickly.

As a bonus, and since Wild is already at Dalaran, he can handle the Naxxramas runs as well without having to teleport around each time.

Wench made her second foray into Darkshore hoping for some action. Both times there were ZERO quests available and the entire area was blanketed with hostiles. She saw one person who looked just as befuddled as Wench. She might as well go back to . . .  whatever the name of these stupid places are in Zandalar. And the Highlands are not available now. Sucks.

So Wench is likely to return to Kul Tiras. She has a cabin there, and she intends to push back against the hostiles that surround her small homestead. She is learning fast and has earned better skills and weapons. She purchased an i340 polearm from the Auction House in Orgrimar because it was necessary to survive, but she prefers to earn those gear upgrades the hard way - by combat. Still, the purchase reduced her gold from 74k to 55k and she hasn't had much time to work on building it back up.

Wildshard is privately proud of his daughter, but he keeps the praise to himself. He listens to the rumors and sometimes picks up tidbits on her progress. Wild's i353 gear is the best among the Autumn Tea Green Alliance, including guild leader Tiphaine. Tiphaine has offered Wild more than once to return to the guild, but Wildshard continues to decline.

Wench will not take anything from her father. She is determined to go it alone. If she were to admit it, she would say she was aiming at eclipsing her father. Her current gear score is i308.

UPDATE: Wench made some good progress in Nazmir and here is the upgrade:
Gear 312 (was 308), AP LVL 20 plus 66%

Sista seems to have settled down and handles most of the business of collecting mats and making gear to sell and use.

Atkar sometimes goes along with Wild on runs but there is little comradely between them. Atkar has never forgiven Sista for forcing her into the cloth and potion business she hates.

Slayer Mahakeya has kept a low profile for a long time now. She has a mere 314 gear score and shows no outward interest in resuming her once brilliant career. The first in the guild to earn her flying wings, Keya is a powerful dark horse that could explode into activity at any time. Tiphaine keeps watch on Keya's "non" activity, but Tiphaine is not fooled. Keya is bidding her time - for what, that remains to be seen.
